Production primarily relies on chernozem and alluvial soils rich in humus.<\/p>\n<h2>Soil quality<\/h2>\n<p>Paprika requires flat or gently sloping terrain (1\u20132%) with good water-air balance, structured and humus-rich soils such as the chernozem found in Vojvodina. The optimal acidity is neutral to slightly acidic (pH 6\u20137).
